Richard Guinn is a filmmaker and a former firefighter (Air Force and L.A. County). He served four years in the U.S. Air Force (Texas, Illinois, Germany, New Mexico, and Saudi Arabia) during the Cold War and Desert Storm eras. He was not only a firefighter in the Air Force, but he was also the Head of the Presentation Team for the Civil Engineering Commander and Fire Chief. In his four years, he received various medals for his time as an Airman, he also received a special medal for his special duties as the animator and the presentations creator.
Richard, having gone to various schools (military/civilian), graduated from two fire schools/Academies, and OCC with a Film & Video (TV) degree. Through OCC, Richard did an internship with Honorary Oscar recipient Roger “King of the B’s” Corman. He has continued his education at USC Upstate’s Communication department (Mass Communications major with a film Minor). He hopes to teach film to young up and comers someday.
As a filmmaker, audio visual tech., and broadcaster, Rich has worked with/for many companies directly or indirectly such as VideoCam (VCI) (Universal Studios, CBS, Disneyland and Disney Studios, Dick Clark Productions (Golden Globes) etc.), FOX Carolina, Nexstar Media (CBS/CW), and others like MTv. Richard currently has his own companies, In Motion Picture Studios and In Motion Pixels, and is also a part of Evolution Creator Studios with his partners there (Kris Harrison etc.). The For Love Foundation is one of two of Richard’s non-profit groups he’s involved with and hopes his efforts will make a difference in the world.
